The global VRF market continues to grow, and its annual growth rate in 2014 is estimated at 18.7%, much higher than the slowing average growth rate for RACs in emerging markets

2. ICR2015: To Improve Quality of Life, Preserve the Earth

4. T. David Underwood Appointed as ASHRAE New President
ASHRAE has installed new officers and directors for 2015- 2016 at its annual meeting held in Atlanta from June 27 to July 1. The new president is T. David Underwood, Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Fellow ASHRAE, Life Member, Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

5. Honeywell Non-Flon Solstice Exempt from New Regulation in Japan
The regulation, called the Act on Rational Use and Proper Management of Fluorocarbons, was enacted in April and mandates stricter controls and the phase down of certain high GWP hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). Honeywell’s Solstice products are based on hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs) and received a Non-Flon designation from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), meaning they are not subject to regulation under the Act.
