China’s Export Tariff on Rare Earth Expected to be Abolished by May

A Japanese news com reported that China, the largest rare earth export country in the world, abolished its rare earth export tariff in January this year, following the World Trade Organization’s (WTO’s) rejection in the last August of China’s appeal against a dispute brought up by Japan, the United States, and EU over whether China’s rare earth export violated the global trade rule.
