* World Compressor Market: Centrifugal Compressors
Thanks to economic recovery in the United States and ongoing growth in emerging markets, demand for centrifugal compressors rose in 2014. China and the United States take slightly less than half of the world market, with year-on-year demand up 16% and 5% to reach 4,310 units and 3,050 units, respectively.

1. Hitachi’s VRF to Land in the U.S.

3. Ingersoll Rand Acquires Frigoblock
Ingersoll Rand announced on March 5 that it has completed the acquisition of Frigoblock, a manufacturer of transport refrigeration units in Germany. The transaction was closed on March 4, 2015, for 100 million Euro(US$ 108 million).

4. Ziehl-Abegg Boosted by Exports: Sales Rise by 9% in 2014
Ziehl-Abegg’s global sales increased by 9% to 423 million Euro(US$ 480 million) in 2014, enabling the company to press further ahead with investments of more than 20 million Euro(US$ 23 million) in the expansion of the production locations.
