* World Compressor Market: Rotary Compressors
As the global air conditioner market showed recovery in 2014, demand for rotary compressors grew by 10.7% over the previous year to reach 148.2 million units. Rotary compressors have strengthened their cost competitiveness through mass production and expanded their market share through technology improvements. In the past decade, the global rotary compressor market has grown more than twofold, outpacing growth in markets for all other types of compressors.

2. Daikin Announces Expansion and Consolidation of Goodman Operations in Houston
Daikin announced on January 6 that its board members have approved an expansion plan for its Goodman operations in the United States. Over the next several years, Daikin will be building a new state-of-the-art business campus that consolidates the current manufacturing and logistics footprints to a location outside of Houston, Texas. The new campus is currently projected to be operational mid-2016..

3. Heat Pump Market Trends in Europe
Preliminary results for 2014 are encouraging in 15 of the 22 member countries of the EHPA. The total European market in 2013 was 770,000 units led by France and Sweden. Air-to-air units made up around half this total.

4. Bitzer Opens New Office in Tokyo
From January 1, 2015, Bitzer is now also available for its customers in the heart of the Japanese capital, Tokyo.“Japan is a very important market for Bitzer and, with almost 38 million inhabitants, the metropolitan area of Tokyo is the largest conurbation in the world. This is why we have opened our second Japanese sales office in Tokyo, in addition to our existing office in Osaka,” said Ferdinand Spannan, Bitzer managing director Japan.

5. CRH 2015 Expo to Open Soon in Shanghai
The 26th International Exhibition for Refrigeration, Air-conditioning, Heating and Ventilation, Frozen Food Processing, Packaging and Storage (CRH 2015) is scheduled to be held from April 8 to 10, 2015, at Shanghai
It is estimated that nearly 60,000 professional visitors and customers representing over 100 countries and regions around the world will attend CRH 2015 exhibition for business.
