According to BSRIA, Latin America’s chiller market scale reached US$ 368.7 million in 2013, marking growth of 9.0% compared with the previous year. Among countries, Brazil has the largest market at US$ 146.3 million, followed by Mexico with a scale of US$ 98.6 million. Argentina’s chiller market grew 29.2% over 2012 to record the highest growth in the region in 2013.

1. Kobe Symposium 2014 Provides Valuable Information on Low-GWP Refrigerants
Organized by the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Association (JRAIA), the International Symposium on New Refrigerants and Environmental Technology 2014 (Kobe Symposium 2014) was held at the Kobe International Conference Center on November 20 and 21. About 490 people, the second highest ever, attended this 11th edition of the Symposium.

2. Trane to Put Over 100 Years of Residential & Commercial Expertise on Display
Trane’s cutting-edge commercial and residential products, from chillers and ductless solutions, to controls and services will be on display at the 2015 AHR Expo. In addition to the exhibits of its newest heating and cooling technology, Trane received two Honorable Mentions for the AHR Innovation Awards this year for the Trane my- PLV and Trane Stealth air-cooled chiller.

3. Climaveneta Integra for the Most Beautiful Skyscraper in the World
Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest), constructed in the Porta Nuova district in Milan, Italy, has won the 2014 International Highrise Award. The award is aimed at all buildings not less than 100 meters tall and evaluates numerous parameters including sustainability, design, quality of the space and integration with the urban context.
