* Inoac and Sapa Move to Jointly Develop Pre-insulated Aluminum Pipe
Inoac, a pioneering pre-insulated copper manufacturer, and Sapa, a global leading aluminum pipe manufacturer, are jointly conducting development of pre-insulated aluminum pipe for HVAC equipment.
They are working together to expand the use of aluminum pipe with the Conic Joint to achieve higher reliability and convenience with HVAC equipment.

1. ACREX India 2015 will be held from February 26 to 28 in Bangalore
ACREX India is returning to Bangalore after a successful show at Delhi where the event saw participation from over 400 exhibitors and nearly 30,000 visitors. Being organized by the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) and produced by NuernbergMesse India, ACREX India 2015 will be conducted at India’s only Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certified green exhibition center - Bangalore International Exhibition and Centre (BIEC) with over 40,000 m2 of fully covered and air conditioned space.

2. GMCC Hosts R290 Seminar at IIR Gustav Lorentzen Conference
The 11th IIR Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Refrigerants (GL2014) was held from September 1 to 2, 2014 at Shangri-La Hotel Hangzhou in China. Guangdong Meizhi Compressor Company (GMCC) was invited as the only co-organizer for GL2014. On September 1, GMCC hosted the seminar on R290 home appliances application technology with the theme of ‘Green Dream, Center of the World’ at the site forum of the conference.

3. New Owner for Airwell
The Airwell Group (France), which announced its insolvency earlier this year, has found a buyer in Swedish ACR specialist Systemair (Skinnskatteberg). The take-over includes the brand name, the sales network and the 36,000 m2 production facility in Tillieres-sur-Avre which specializes in heat pump units. Estimated annual turnover is 35 million Euro(US$ 44 million).

4. Midea Carrier Evolving with Four Brands
At the end of 2011, Carrier formed a joint venture with the Midea Group for the manufacture and distribution of HVAC products in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. About three years has passed since hen. JARN recently interviewed Toshio Murakami, general manager, Distribution, Midea Carrier Brazil, and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Department Chairman at ABRAVA to hear the latest update on the joint venture, what synergies have been generated, and the air conditioner market in Brazil.

5. U.S. Government and Industry Take Action to Cut HFCs
On September 16, the Obama Administration announced new private sector commitments and executive actions to reduce emissions of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), powerful greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change. The commitments would reduce cumulative global consumption of these greenhouse gases by the equivalent of 700 million metric tons of carbon dioxide through 2025, equivalent to 1.5% of the world’s 2010 greenhouse gas emissions and the same as taking nearly 15 million cars off the road for 10 years.
