LG gas dryers first to get 2015 Energy Star certification

LG Electronics is the first home appliance manufacturer to announce gas dryers certified to new Energy Star standards. The first energy efficiency standards for residential clothes dryers got into effect in 2015. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) qualified six new LG Energy Star gas dryers and eight new LG Energy Star electric dryers, following verification by the third-party certification body CSA Group.
