Consumer Confidence Index Up in August

The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index, which was up in July, was up again in August 2014. The august index stood at 92.4, up from 90.3 in July. The Present Situation Index increased from 87.9 in July to 94.6 in August. The Expectations Index was down from 91.9 in July to 90.9 in August.
