Adaptive Frequency Drive Increases Trane Chiller Efficiency

Trane, a global HVAC brand of Ingersoll Rand, enhanced its Optimus helical rotary water-cooled chiller with an Adaptive Frequency drive (AFD). The chillers have cooling capacities from 150 to 430 tons and are designed to be economical cooling solutions for high-occupancy schools, hospitals, hotels, and similar buildings.
