Saudi Arabia Defers R22 Import Ban to 2016

Saudi Arabia planned to prohibit the import of compressors, air conditioners and refrigeration equipment using HCFC-22 (R22) refrigerant from January 1, 2015. In May, 2014, however, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced that the implementation of the ban was postponed to January 1, 2016.
