JARN estimates that the world market size of electrically driven VRF systems surpassed 1 million units in 2013 on an outdoor unit basis. The global VRF market continues to grow, and its annual growth rate in 2013 is estimated at 20.2%, much higher than the average growth posted for RACs.

1. Australian Government Repeals Carbon Tax
The Government is committed to ensuring that consumers benefit from the removal of the carbon tax. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) will monitor and enforce reasonably expected price reductions across key sectors of the economy, particularly the electricity, gas and synthetic greenhouse gas sectors

2. MHI CO2 Hot Water Heat Pumps Reduce UK Hotel Costs by 40%
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioning Europe’s (MHIAE’s) ‘re-heating of circulation loop’ heat pump system provides sanitary hot water to the Lancaster Hall Hotel, central London, the United Kingdom. The installation, which consists of two heat pumps from MHIAE’s environmentally friendly CO2 Qton range, results in 40% operational cost savings and 45% savings in terms of carbon emissions.

3. Samsung First to Benefit from Eurovent Certification
Samsung has obtained Eurovent Certification for its VRF (DVM) range. In the past, no certification was available for VRF models, whereas certification was available for chillers and air-to-air heat pumps. This program is the result of work conducted over a period of several years in order to ensure that the main Asian manufacturers to agree on a benchmark set up with a certification organization

4. HFCs Enable 83% Reduction in Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Hydrochlorofluorcarbons (HFCs) have enabled an 83% reduction in U.S. direct greenhouse gas emissions since 1990 as a substitute for ozone depleting substances that are also very potent contributors to climate change. HFCs are used primarily as refrigerants or cooling agents for air conditioners and supermarket refrigeration systems and insulating foam expansion agents for energy efficient appliances and buildings

5. Secop to Build XV Compressor Production Line in China
Based on market demands and technology development, Secop Group has decided to invest in a brand new XV compressor production line. In the future, the XV compressor production line in Tianjin factory will apply parts made in Secop Slovakia plant for assembly.
