Daikin Chairman to Step Down as CEO, Transfer Post to President

Noriyuki Inoue, chairman and CEO of Daikin, has made it clear that he intends to step down as chief executive officer (CEO) in June. Masanori Togawa, Daikin president and chief operating officer (COO), will take over the position of CEO. Mr. Inoue has led Daikin through a series of overseas business acquisitions to become the top player in the global air conditioner industry in terms of sales.
