Downside of Low Energy Buildings

Making structures that are well sealed against outside air penetration reduces energy demand but deprives the occupants of an adequate supply of fresh air. In the 10,000 buildings which have now been tested for leakage by BSRIA, over 90% have met the demands of Part L of the UK building regulations.
