Daikin Reports Net Sales Up

Global HVAC giant Daikin Industries, Ltd. (Osaka, Japan) reported half-year net sales of 921,574 million yen (approx. USD $8,990 million), up 41.8% from 650,016 million yen in the first half of the previous year. Net income in the 6-month period ending on Sept. 30, 2013, was 58,333 million yen (approx. $570 million), up 547.6% from 9,008 million yen in the first 6 months of the previous fiscal year.
