Very low energy houses are destined to become more common in the near future now that the French energy regulations RT 2012 have come into force. Some air-to-water heat pump manufacturers (Atlantic for example) have introduced models specifically designed for this market with ratings around 5-6 kW for houses of typically 110-120 m2 floor area.
