KHI Develops Centrifugal Chiller Using Water as Refrigerant

Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) has developed a small, high-efficiency centrifugal chiller that uses water as refrigerant instead of fluorinated gas. The new centrifugal chiller adopts water as a natural refrigerant and does not rely on fluorocarbons. It therefore has the potential to contribute to ozone layer protection and the prevention of global warming.
