Panasonic Seeks Capital Alliance with Sanyo

Panasonic Corporation (Panasonic) (President: Fumio Ohtsubo) and Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. (Sanyo) (President: Seiichiro Sano) held a joint press conference in Osaka on November 7 to officially announce, based on approval by both companies’ boards of directors, that Panasonic is seeking a capital and business alliance with Sanyo in order to further strengthen its growth potential, and pursue synergies to enhance its global competi?tiveness.
