In the first half of 2021, the Italian air conditioner market showed yearon-year increases in most segments excluding portable air conditioners, as shown in Table 1, according to Assoclima, the Italian association of air conditioning system manufacturers federated to ANIMA Confindustria Meccanica Varia. Of them, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems recorded the highest growth rate of over 40%. Split-type air conditioners also showed more than 20% growth. In addition, the hydronic chiller and heat pump segments experienced double-digit growth.
