On August 3, 2020, 7-Eleven, the U.S.-based convenience store giant, entered into an agreement with U.S.- based Marathon Petroleum to acquire the shares and other interests of the companies operating the convenience store and fuel retail businesses of Marathon Petroleum mainly under the Speedway brand, excluding certain fuel retail operations with direct dealers and certain other businesses.
