1. German New Buildings Energy Act to Be a Heat Pump Market Driver
On September 29, 2023, the German Legislative Council approved the amendment to GEG, the Buildings Energy Act, which will introduce requirement of a 65% renewable energy for new heating systems in new housing developments from January 1, 2024. With this new law, Germany aims to depart from boilers and shift all heating systems to renewable energy sources by 2045, when it aims for net zero emissions of greenhouse gases.

2. Febrava Shows Sustainable Future of HVAC&R Industry
Febrava, the International Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Heating, Air and Water Treatment Fair, successfully held its 22nd edition from September 12 to 15, 2023 at Sao Paulo Expo in Brazil. The event presented sustainable heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) solutions and technologies based on energy efficiency and connectivity.

3. Daikin Celebrates 50 Years of Innovation in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
Strategically positioned in the heart of Europe, Daikin chose the Belgian city of Ostend back in 1973 to establish its first manufacturing site outside of Japan, a momentous milestone for Belgium’s economy. At the time, Daikin was only the second Japanese company to invest in Belgium. The initial investment 50 years ago by Japanese global parent company Daikin Industry to establish Daikin Europe in Ostend was followed by many others. Daikin Europe currently has 52 sales entities and is active in 129 countries in EMEA, with over 13,700 employees.

4. Hisense HVAC Global Partner Conference Successfully Held in Qingdao
On September 22, the 2023 Hisense HVAC Global Partner Conference was held at Qingdao Hai Tian Center, China, using online and offline platforms. The event attracted over 800 global customers, of whom more than 100 partners attended in person in Qingdao to share strategic their concepts and discuss development plans with Hisense.
