The Middle Eastern air conditioner market had a scale of 5.4 million units in 2014, a 3.1% increase from the previous year. Demand fell in Saudi Arabia, where distributors had pushed to get rid of air conditioners that did not meet the new MEPS that went into force in 2013. Political instability in several countries in the region affected market performance in 2014. This was offset by solid performance in the UAE. The UAE’s market scale reached 890,000 units in 2014, continuing strong growth from the previous year.

LG has earned four Appliance Design 2015 Excellence in Design Awards, two Gold and two Silver awards, across multiple home appliance and air conditioning categories. LG Smart AC Module was awarded Gold Award in the HVAC category.
