Daikin to Build New AC Plant in Huizhou, China

On August 30, 2022, Daikin announced that the company will establish a new plant in Huizhou in order to manufacture and sell air conditioners in China. The investment will be approximately ¥30 billion (about US$ 208.5 million), mainly for increasing the production of residential air conditioners for the Chinese market. It is scheduled to start operation in October 2024. Daikin will diversify the risks associated with the concentration of production by increasing production and responding to the expansion of demand.
