COVID-19 Grounds RAC Industry

The room air conditioner (RAC) industry in India has taken a hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic. About 70% of RAC sales in India take place between February and June, which is the summer season. Manufacturers ramp up their production from the month of January and build up inventories to cater to the peak summer demand. Sales during February were normal; some manufacturers reported up to 13% sales growth compared to February last year.
