Air-conditioner maker Daikin sheds premium tag to compete in mass market in India; take on LG, Samsung and Voltas

NEW DELHI: Daikin, one of the two largest air-conditioner makers, has sacrificed its premium tag for the first time in India to compete in the mass market segment and narrow the price gap with brands such as LG, Samsung and Voltas.
