China Suffers Record Fall in Imports & Exports in January

According to statistics released by China Customs on February 11, Chinese imports and exports totaled US$ 142 billion in January, a 29% decrease compared with the same month last year. Exports decreased by 17.5% and imports decreased by 43.1%. Chinese imports and exports have seen negative growth for three consecutive months. It was also the first time in more than ten years that China has had a decrease in imports and exports higher than 10% in January.
