DAT Enhancing Its Value through Efficient Production
2017/11/23
Daikin Airconditioning (Thailand) (DAT) produces commercial and industrial air conditioners. JARN visited DAT on September 4 and interviewed Noboru Miyao, managing director of DAT, to hear about the company’s profile and production system.

DAT started operation in December 1975 under the name of Siam Daikin Co, Ltd. (SDC), a joint venture of Daikin and Siam Motors Group in Thailand. In 1987, the company changed its name to DAT and became a 100% subsidiary of Daikin in 2001.

Prior to this, in July 1998, DAT transferred its plant from Bangplee to Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate. Currently, at a factory with a site area of 16,000 m2 and building area of 4,640 m2, approximately 180 employees are producing air conditioning systems. For air handling units (AHUs), the monthly production capacity is 170 chambers, each of which comprises a filter unit, a fan unit, and a coil unit.
