Daikin Wins Award for Developing Low-cost Inverter Used for RACs

Daikin and Nagaoka University of Technology received the Minister’s Award from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology at the 15th Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Contributors Awards Program conducted by the Cabinet Office, Government of Japan, in recognition of their joint development of a low-cost inverter used for energy-saving room air conditioners (RACs). The inverter complies with the regulation governing electric power source harmonics.
 
Commendation of deserving persons in cooperative work conducted by the government, academia, and industry is literally to commend those who have achieved remarkable results in joint activities involving a private company, university, and public research institute for their achievements.
