No Tax on HFCs Foreseen in 2018 Budget in France
2017/10/22
According to Larpf.fr, the French Minister of the Environment Nicolas Hulot recently announced a proposed tax on hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) as part of France’s Climate Plan. The refrigeration industry is already taking a battering following huge increases in the prices of high global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, and the new tax, initially expected to be implemented in 2018, could have added at least

Euro

100/kg (about US$ 117/kg) to the prices of refrigerants such as R404A.
