Asada LD316C Able to Detect Refrigerant Leak at -30oC
2017/09/20
Asada, located in Nagoya, Japan, a plumbing and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment manufacturer has launched its new infrared (IR) refrigerant leak detector LD316C, which is, according to Asada, the world’s first IR refrigerant leak detector with an operating temperature range of -30 to 50°C. This enables the identification of leakage of refrigerants such as chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), and hydro-fluorocarbon (HFC) in cold storage facilities and from evaporating units in regions with snowfall in winter. Nearly 50% of cold storage warehouses in Japan have a temperature range of -30 to -20°C. However, conventional models in the market cannot be used at -30°C.
