Scott County School District partners with Johnson Controls to save more than $5 million in energy costs
2017/09/14
Building energy efficiency improvements will transform school-operated facilities and enhance learning environment
MILWAUKEE -- (Sept. 12, 2017) -- Johnson Controls today announced the start of construction on a $4.17 million energy savings performance contract (ESPC) project with Scott County School District in Forest, Mississippi. The project will transform the district’s schools, buildings and additional school-managed facilities by improving building energy efficiency. The school district is guaranteed $284,243 in savings for the first year and more than $5.4 million in savings over the life of the 16-year project.

“Johnson Controls ability to provide systems integration, implementation, maintenance and training, and to stay within our projected budget was key in the district’s decision to embark on this project,” said Dr. Tony McGee, District Superintendent. “This will not only be an asset to our teachers and staff but more importantly to our students.”
