Cumulative Shipments of Ene-Farm Top 200,000 Units
2017/06/24
On May 10, Ene-Farm Partners, a conference body for promoting the diffusion of Ene-Farms, announced that the cumulative shipments of Ene-Farm fuel cells for residential use has topped 200,000 units.

The Ene-Farm is a residential fuel cell system that generates electricity by causing the airborne oxygen to react chemically with hydrogen extracted from city gas or liquefied petroleum (LP) gas. By generating electricity and simultaneously utilizing the rejected heat for water heating, it can fully utilize the input energy, thereby contributing greatly to energy savings and reductions in CO2 emissions in residential settings.

After the release of the Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cell (PEFC) type Ene-Farm in 2009, the Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) type was released in 2011. Starting with these two types, the Ene-Farm lineup has continued to expand, and now includes models that can be installed in condominiums, models that can continue to operate even during a power failure, and models that can utilize existing water heaters.
