Panasonic’s Cumulative Production of Ene-Farm Tops 100,000 Units
2017/04/27
Panasonic’s cumulative production of Ene-Farm home-use fuel cells, the production of which began in July 2008, topped 100,000 units in March 2017. Panasonic is the first company to have attained 100,000 units in the history of Ene-Farm production.

After launching the full-scale development of home-use fuel cells in 1999, Panasonic, through three years of large-scale demonstration beginning in 2005, began selling the world’s first Ene-Farm in Japan, in May 2009. In April 2014, the company released the world’s first product for condominiums, and began selling home-use fuel cell systems for the first time in Europe. Now, as of April 2017, Panasonic launched new products designed to use liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), thus enabling the use of Ene-Farm in almost all parts of Japan excluding cold districts.
