Burr Oak Tool and Luvata ACR Tubes will jointly present at the CRH 2017 regarding their preliminary findings of pressure expansion technology used with specially designed tubes for heat exchange coils.
“Our objective is to give tube manufacturers the ability to develop new tube enhancement geometry for better heat transfer performance through use of pressure expansion technology. In response, Luvata Tubes has created promising new tubes being evaluated for improved performance,” says Roger Tetzloff, innovations manager for Burr Oak Tool.
Preliminary findings are encouraging for the joint technologies, noting that the testing results completed todate are very positive. Testing variables included high fins, i.e. inside tube enhancement fins that would not be typical designs under conventional mechanical expansion methods, compared to standard fins expanded by both methods.
