Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning (JCH) was established on October 1, 2015 as a joint venture company Johnson Controls (JCI) and Hitachi Group. Now, more than a year later, JARN interviewed Franz Cerwinka, CEO of JCH, to gain an insight into developments at JCH during the past year.
JARN (J): Could you please tell us about the results of development over the past year since JCH was set up?
Franz Cerwinka (C): Firstly, we have been very active in the field of new product development during our first year, with over 40 different new products launched throughout the 12-month window. Many products were for the Japanese market. We launched a new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) platform, a R32 pack-aged unit, and a several new room air conditioners (RACs) in Japan as well.
