On October 24, Daikin held a press conference at its Tokyo Branch Office and announced a new product. Satoshi Funada, executive officer, general manager of Airconditioning Sales Division, Yoshihiko Hagiwara, senior manager of Airconditioning Sales Department Tokyo, and Kyou Tomikawa, senior engineer and leader of Applied Product Group, Air Conditioning Manufacturing Division made the announcement.
Starting on January 16, 2017, Daikin will release the air-cooled heat pump type module chiller Hexagon Force that has realized the industry’s top class energy saving performance.
The new product incorporates a high efficiency scroll compressor which has an intermediate injection circuit that can reduce energy loss by efficiently compressing the refrigerant. By taking advantage of the characteristics of this high efficiency scroll compressor, the new product has improved the heating capacity and attained a cooling/heating average coefficient of performance (COP) of 4.05. By improving the COP of the series as a whole by about 10-16%, the new series can exhibit the industry’s top class energy saving performance. Moreover, by adopting the company’s own F-shape structure in which the air heat exchanger is optimally located, the new series can realize high operating efficiency all year round.
