Parker Hannifin Sporlan Division has expanded its small electric expansion valve offering for transcritical CO2 case applications. The new SER-HP line of stepper valves is rated for 90 bar (1,305 psig) Maximum Rated Pressure (MRP). The SER-HP valves are offered in -AA and -A port sizes for transcritical CO2 flow capacities up to 8.0 kW (2.3 tons).
The SER-HP line of products complements Sporlan’s current SER family of valves that is rated for 70 bar (1,015 psig) Maximum Rated Pressure (MRP). These four SER models (-AA, -A, -B, and -C) cover transcritical CO2 capacities up to 42 kW (12 tons).
The SER valves are a bi-polar stepper motor design that provides high force output. Advanced pin and port geometries deliver unmatched resolution and flow control. The unibody brass and stainless steel design reduces leak potential and eliminates corrosion concern. Rigorous testing confirmations the SER valves provide exceptional performance and reliability in both transcritical CO2 and other refrigeration systems.
