During China Refrigeration Exhibition (CRH) in April 2016, Carrier gave a sneak preview of its latest innovation, the new generation AquaEdge 19DV back-to-back two-stage variable-speed centrifugal chiller. Designed to use the new low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant R1233zd(E), this variable-speed centrifugal chiller features a Greenspeed variable frequency drive (VFD) motor controller. It is able to achieve leading refrigeration efficiency, significantly lowering energy consumption while reducing carbon dioxide emissions through-out its life cycle.
It is notable that the progressive back-to-back two-stage compressor can minimize bearing loads by balancing internal forces, producing both high reliability and efficiency. And the robust ceramic bearings with a simple structure actually use the refrigerant already in the chiller as lubricant, which allows customers to easily operate their systems with confidence. This carefully engineered solution delivers trouble-free operation that customers have come to expect from Carrier, at ever higher efficiency levels.
