In 2015, the main economic indicators in Spain showed an improvement over the previous year. One indicator was significant gross domestic product (GDP) growth. Sec-tors linked to heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), such as the construction of both residential and nonresidential buildings, showed positive growth which follows GDP growth trends.
Large Air Conditioning Equipment
Large air conditioning equipment can be divided into the following three sectors; commercial, tertiary and industrial, and AHUs and heat recovery ventilation units (HRVUs). The commercial sector includes floor/ceiling/wall equipment > 6 kW, cassettes > 6kW, water condensed duct equipment, air condensed duct equipment > 6 kW, rooftop, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems < 32 kW, water chillers < 50 kW, and fan coils (80%). The tertiary and industrial sector includes water chillers > 50 kW, VRF systems > 32 kW, and close control units.
