BSRIA launched the latest heat pump market report covering 23 countries; research undertaken in 2015 includes Austria, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, UK and North America (The United States and Canada).
The global heat pump market recorded a downward trend in value terms in 2015. This is the result of a recent series of research undertaken by BSRIA Market Intelligence Agency. Year-on-year, the sales of water-based heat pumps fell 16.5% to US$ 4.30 billion. The drop was attributed to the depreciation of the U.S. currency to the largest extent; in euros terms, the market was almost stable - a minor 0.6% decrease being recorded. Another reason was the slowdown in China economy. The sudden dip in domestic new construction and sluggish economic development spread fears in Asia and across the globe. Worldwide, the sales volume expanded 8.1% in 2015 compared to the previous year.
