Techno-Frontier 2016 was held at Makuhari Messe convention center, Chiba, for three days starting on April 20. It is a flagship Japanese advanced electronic and mechatronic devices and components exhibition consisting of 11 fields including ‘Motortech Japan’ that was held for the 34th time, ‘Power System Japan,’ and ‘EMC Japan.’ Over 500 Japanese companies took part in the current exposition, and almost 70 companies from neighboring countries also exhibited. Techno-Frontier 2016 showcased component technologies in the fields of electronics and mechatronics, as well as the latest technologies underpinning new product design. A total of 31,403 visitors flocked to the three-day event and gained an insight into the latest technologies.
At Motortech Japan, motor-related solutions facilitating energy savings, reductions in both size and weight, and improvement in precision for all types of applications were on show. The latest products, technologies and appliances for residential and industrial uses concerning motors were introduced, and encompassed small and precision motors, medium- and large-size motors, control, measurement and analytical technologies, along with materials and components. Other exhibits that also drew the attention of visitors included motors incorporated into automotives reflecting increasing demand for these motors, technologies that help overcome difficulties involved in the securing of rare earth elements, and also technologies conducive to energy saving and efficiency improvement regarding industrial motors and drivers.
