Despite economic and political issues such as the euro crisis, European Union (EU) market is experiencing brisk demand for room air conditioners (RACs). JARN gained an insight into this trend from manufacturers who attended the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) exhibition held in Milan, Italy, recently.
Among major markets in EU, Italy and Spain are benefiting from greater RAC demand much earlier than during the previous year. Manufacturers and dealers are busy signing sales contracts and stocking up on products for the upcoming peak salesseason. According to China Customs, RAC exports from China to Italy and Spain increased nearly 180% and 160% year on year, respectively, in January?February 2016, ending a declining trend in these markets for three consecutive years.
