1. Price of Refrigerant Remains Low with Oversupply of R410A
According to industry experts, three reasons contributed to the weak refrigerant market: first, the total market demand was weak due to the lackluster global economic growth; second, the demand for residential air conditioners and central air conditioners slowed down for a long time; third, the concurrent capacity expansion of refrigerant suppliers caused serious oversupply of refrigerants.

2. MHI Receives Order for Centrifugal Chillers in Malaysia
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has received an order for 13 large size centrifugal chillers, with a total cooling capacity of RT 36,400, for a large-scale district cooling system for Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) area, a prime landmark in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city. The order marks the largest-scale order of its kind the company has ever received, and MHI believes it resulted from the customer’s recognition of the company’s world-leading level in refrigeration efficiency and the environmental friendliness of its chillers. 4. India (Global Air Conditioner Market Review for First Half of 2013)
The Indian air conditioner market, which has experienced stalled growth over the last two years, is showing renewed vitality in 2013. Temperatures soared in May and RAC sales in January - May came to approximately 1.2 million units, a 20% rise over the same months of the previous year. In addition to the heat wave, sales are also growing dramatically in outlying cities to drive sales at all manufacturers. Sales about 20% higher than 2012 are expected in calendar 2013, which would give India’s AC market a scale of about ¥300.0 billion (US$ 3 billion).
