Explosion of the number of air conditioners in China

In a report published on May 15, 2018, the International Energy Agency (IEA) underlines the explosion of the air conditioning market in China, which has become the country with the most air conditioning units in the world. China uses 68 times more electricity on cooling than it did in 1990, and that number continues to grow faster than anywhere else in the world.
