Cemafroid Develops Door Opening Robot for Refrigerated Cabinet Tests

France- based Cemafroid is one of the few independent laboratories in the world able to provide users and manufacturers of refrigerated display cabinets with a complete range of tests providing data, making it possible to acquire precise knowledge and to compare the refrigerating and energy performance of such equipment. The NF EN ISO 23953 standard, which is most often used for these tests, requires strict sequences of door openings.
 
Cemafroid has designed, developed, and built a robot called Shiva in response to requests from customers to improve the reproducibility of long-term tests that require repeated door openings. The door opening sequences are predefined in order to test all types of refrigerated cabinets. These tests are carried out according to Cofrac ISO 17025 accreditation of Cemafroid.
