EU to reduce CO2 emissions of buildings by 90% by 2050

The building sector is one of the key consumers of energy in Europe where energy use in buildings has seen overall a rising trend over the past 20 years. The Buildings Performance Institute Europe published a report assessing the energy performance of buildings in the EU, Switzerland and Norway, analysing the energy and CO2 savings potential through a variety of scenarios.
