India’s most ambitious road infrastructure project since independence was the Golden Quadrilateral, the first phase of which is now almost complete, that connects the four metro cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai through four to six lane expressways, along with roads connecting these centers with ports.
