Largest Natural Ventilation System in the World Installed in India

Vedanta Aluminium is constructing an aluminum smelter of 1.75 million tons per year capacity along with a 1,215 MW captive power plant and a 2,400 MW independent power plant in Orissa, a state in eastern India that is very rich in deposits of bauxite and iron ore. The natural ventilation system installed in the roof of the buildings is made of lightweight aluminum and is 16.5 km in total length with varying widths.
