AC Exports to EU Slow

According to data provided by the European Union, China exported 154.2 billion worth of products to the EU from January to August 2008, only a 4% increase compared with the same period of 2007. It also amounts to 18 percentage points lower than the growth rate in 2007, and was even lower than the 7% growth the EU’s total imports. During the same period, the EU exported 52.3 billion worth of products to China, a 13% increase compared with the same period last year. That number is much higher than the 5% average growth rate of the EU’s total exports and only 2 points lower than the growth rate of the exports to China in 2007.
